Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 59th birthday, describing him as a seasoned statesman and patriotic leader.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Governor Radda said the Vice President’s career trajectory, from banking to governance, reflects resilience and competence dedicated to national service.

He recalled Shettima’s tenure as Governor of Borno State, noting his courage and compassion during the Boko Haram insurgency, and commended his leadership both in the Senate and as Vice President, where he continues to promote unity, peace, and prosperity.

Governor Radda also highlighted Shettima’s role in Nigeria’s economic planning team, pointing to his contributions toward strengthening investor confidence, supporting small businesses, and creating opportunities for young people.

He further acknowledged the Vice President’s interventions in national security and peace-building, as well as his international engagements, including his recent participation at the United Nations General Assembly where he represented Nigeria’s position on peace, security, and sustainable development.

According to Radda, Shettima remains a strong partner to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in implementing reforms in governance, economic recovery, security, and international diplomacy.

On behalf of the government and people of Katsina State, the governor extended warm wishes to the Vice President, praying for his continued good health, long life, and wisdom.
